This is a three-to-one decrease (hence the yo on either side of it, which maintain the 10-stitch pattern). Here's a link to a video!

https://youtu.be/7B95-kDDaPAGretchen Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13720728303685051589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683194221069775925.post-60297468249801266162019-01-19T08:45:09.544-08:002019-01-19T08:45:09.544-08:00I keep ending up with two stitches at the end of t...I keep ending up with two stitches at the end of the second round. And for some reason I'm getting that it's a twelve stitch pattern in the second row, not 10? Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it's driving me crazy! :) Any ideas? With the 12 stitches it goes into the 110 stitches 9x with a remaining 2. My best guess for dropped stitches on this one is that you're missing the yarn overs on either side of you decrease, since they can be hard to remember - is it possible that this is what's going wrong? :)Gretchen Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13720728303685051589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683194221069775925.post-16194044243949398112017-10-29T14:07:42.998-07:002017-10-29T14:07:42.998-07:00I'm only 3 rows in, and I've dropped 16 st...I'm only 3 rows in, and I've dropped 16 stitches! I'm a beginner knitter ( 3 regular scarves and 2 infinity scarves under my belt), but I don't usually drop stitches. So I'm wondering if I'm reading the pattern wrong.

For Row 2, do we perform the (sl2-k1-p2sso) once or twice? I was assuming the abbreviation was just informational, but now I'm wondering if I should do that series twice in a row?

Thanks!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10114051170403051715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683194221069775925.post-20983569610234570252017-10-19T05:24:59.176-07:002017-10-19T05:24:59.176-07:00Okay, here you go! Then we'll move straight to the pattern, which is a basic combination of seed stitch and a yo/decrease combination, and goes like so:

Row 1 (wrong side): p1, * k1, p1, k3, p1, (k1, p1) twice; rep from * until you have 1 stitch left in row, p1

Row 2: k1, * (p1, k1) twice, p1, yo, slip 2 stitches together knitwise-k1-pass 2 slipped stitches over (sl2-k1-p2sso), yo, p1, k1 * until you have 1 stitch left in row, k1

And that's about it! Knit rows 1 & 2 until piece measures roughly 7" and you've just finished row 2 of the pattern.
