However, I suggest going on Ravelry and looking for a beret pattern whose shape you like. Then I would follow the pattern as directed for the brim, and incorporate this stitch pattern when you get to the body. Since it's only a four stitch pattern you will likely have an easy time finding a compatible design! :)Gretchen Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13720728303685051589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683194221069775925.post-55277756571237923672022-03-06T02:09:54.184-08:002022-03-06T02:09:54.184-08:00Hi !

The pattern is only a four stitch pattern, so it would be a bit laborious to check your work by placing a stitch marker after every pattern repeat, but you could try placing them every sixteen stitches, for instance, to try to keep things straight. :)Gretchen Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13720728303685051589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683194221069775925.post-78586050485197601762019-12-12T14:08:34.652-08:002019-12-12T14:08:34.652-08:00Could you please provide a stitch count at the end...Could you please provide a stitch count at the end of rows 1 and 2 of main pattern. The ribbing row sequence is 4 stitches, but the main pattern consists of a sequence of 5 (k1, yo, ssk, k1), which is not divisible into 64. Am I reading the sequence wrong?andykooshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13893529040065296356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683194221069775925.post-53081259130241679512017-03-10T22:01:42.540-08:002017-03-10T22:01:42.540-08:00Oh man, that's a tough question to answer - di...Oh man, that's a tough question to answer - different yarns react differently when you gauge up your needle size. In general, however, I think the ribbing especially could get a bit weird if you simply knit it on larger needles, and probably wouldn't have as much stretch as you'd like. My best recommendation would be to knit with the appropriate size needles to give you 18 stitches per inch, and cast on 96 as recommended (of course you can do the ribbing a needle size or two smaller). If you really want to attempt larger needles and the same cast-on number you might get lucky with your yarn, but no guarantees. Good luck! :)Gretchen Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13720728303685051589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683194221069775925.post-90233576909698654142017-03-10T19:49:55.961-08:002017-03-10T19:49:55.961-08:00Hi there-- Does using size 9 needles (with worsted...Hi there-- Does using size 9 needles (with worsted weight yarn) make a difference?
